Introduction:

A fire alarm system is more often than not required under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, to notify staff and members of public in the event of a fire.

There are different classes of fire alarm systems which are differentiated by grades such as L1, L2, L3, L4 and so on, each giving different levels of protection dependent on the level of risk involved within the building.

Fire Alarm Service:

​​​The maintenance of a fire alarm should be carried out at 6 monthly intervals by a company such as ourselves. Weekly fire alarm tests must also be completed by the responsible person on site and logged.

Fire Alarm Installation​:

We are able to design and install any grade of fire alarm system required from addressable to analogue systems including wireless and hardwired.

Annual fire servicing inspections are a legal requirement within most business premises under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and can also be required for your insurance. A fire extinguisher service involves inspecting every fire extinguisher on site and identifying extinguishers in need of discharge replacement testing, replacement parts and recharging etc.

Fire extinguisher inspection:

These checks are required due to parts / seals deteriorating, valves sticking and fire extinguishers simply being damaged whilst part of a building’s fixtures and fittings. ​Not only are the 12 monthly fire extinguisher servicing inspections required but you should also be carrying out weekly visual checks on the fire extinguishers and logging them.

​​​Fire extinguisher servicing and care in accordance with the Code of Practice stipulated in British Standard 5306 part 3 should be integrated into your premises Fire Risk Assessment and is, in effect, a legal requirement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
